What if… Alex Pettyfer does not take on TMI?

For warning, I wrote this blog post on Friday (1/28). Right now, I know that Alex has been offered the role of Jace. There have also been rumors he has chosen a different movie. But, those are just rumors. There’s also a possibility that by the chance this post comes out, he could have or have not accepted the part. This post is based off if the offer still stands. As much as I want him to be Jace Wayland, there’s a 50/50 he won’t take it.

Yes, I will cry.

Yes, I will be devastated.

But it won’t be the end of the world.

Really thought, what if he doesn’t take the part?!

  • Depression (at first).

Sorry. I don’t wanna be doomsday or anything, but I’m pretty sure that a bajillion of us will be pretty upset when the news gets out. Yes, we will yell and freak. I know shock will come to all of us and well walk around and scream ‘WHY?!’ to the world. We’ll all be sad for a while. It happens. But guess what, we’ll get over it.

  • New Person to Cast

There are other guys out there to play the part of Jace. In my heart, I truly believe Alex was born to play the part. But who knows?! Some other actor out there that we have never heard of could get the part and be PHENOMENAL. So not only do we know of Alex, but we now know this freakishly-awesome new guy. Technically it’s a win-win. Be open about it because you never know…

  • New Ideas

A new person playing Jace means that new thoughts and ideas will come out. For all of you who have pictured Alex, have you ever pictured someone else?! No?! Well, then there you go. It will be a surprise to see someone new and how they take the awesome Jace Wayland. This will then provoke new conversations and new fantasies.

C’mon. Cheer up. I know, I know. I’m desperately hoping Alex will take the part, but still. Be open. Be positive! Leave your thoughts below (:

What if…you could only choose one?!

What if you could only choose one?!

One of what?!

Well, what if you only had to choose one supernatural person/creature that you were able to read about. If you haven’t noticed, I am more into the fantasy/paranormal/sci-fi genre. I love the idea of alien things being out there. Last time I checked, you can’t find a unicorn walking around in a cliché, drama novel. So if you’re like me, which one would you choose?

Here are [some] choices:

  • Vampires
  • Werewolves
  • Angels (Fallen & Guardian)
  • Mermaids
  • Zombies
  • Ghosts
  • Dragons
  • Faeries (Fairies)

Those are only a few examples, but there are plenty of more! All of them have their strengths and weaknesses that make them pretty awesome. They stand out in different ways that make you love each and every one of them. Really think about this question for a minute. Which one would you choose?! And why?!

If I had to choose, it would take me a while to think about it. So I thought about it. It was easy for me to rule out some. The first to go for me was vampires. I have a few select vampire novels I love (Twilight & Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark Side), but vampires aren’t really my thing. I’m not that picks up vampire books as my first choice. Nothing against them, but they’re just not what I’m really into. I would be between angels and faeries. Both intrigue me. And both can be interpreted in so many different ways. I have loved every book I’ve read on angels & faeries. They keep me interested!

Your turn!

What if they all died?!

You’re all probably looking at the title, thinking that I am indeed insane. You might think of it as a trick of the light, but I promise you that is not the case. The question is really there. What if they all died? And I’m not even joking.

In 99.99% of books that I have read, the protagonist NEVER dies. Not trying to be all like “Oh yeah, let’s kill them off!” but think about it ! No matter how bad the situation gets for the character, you always have that feeling in the back of your head that they aren’t actually going to die. It’s because said character NEEDS to have that happy ending, or the book will not be good.

I disagree. As much as I want that happy ending, I don’t think I would ever be disappointed in a book if the main character died. Having that person die is a touch of reality and makes things end in a bitter-sweet way. They gave their life up for a ‘greater cause’ or something like that. To me, I think it would make the story even better.

Sooo…

What if they all died?

  • The plot of the novel would obviously written differently, making the story different in some way, shape or form.
  • Books would be closer to real life! We all know we like living in fantasy land, but it’s nice to be able to relate to the fantasy world.
  • It would leave all of the readers wondering what would have happened if they had actually lived. Which means the novel would be making us think long after the final page has been turned.
  • Gives the chance for some of the lesser characters to make it into the spotlight. C’mon! Everyone has a story to tell!
  • Tells us the author is that much braver to actually kill off the character they worked so hard on. After all, we’ve learned not to fall into peer pressure…
  • Makes the character that much more awesome because they truly are a hero (well, depends on the circumstances).

You might be nodding your head in agreement or cursing me off for even thinking this. That’s okay 🙂 I mean, really though ! Happily-Ever-After blah blah blah. We need some EXCITEMENT ! And if these books were to happen in real life (not saying they don’t ;D), do you honestly think all of the characters would survive?!

Yeah, I didn’t think so.

So tell me what you think ! Leave a comment, please !
